About the Author:

Aaron D. Purcell, Ph.D., is the director of special collections at Virginia Tech. He holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Tennessee and a MLS from the University of Maryland., College Park. He has published on a variety of archival and historical topics and his first book, White Collar Radicals: TVA's Knoxville Fifteen, the New Deal, and the McCarthy Era, will be published by the University of Tennessee Press in spring 2009.
