About the Author:

J. Timothy Sprehe, Ph.D. , is president of Sprehe Information Management Associates Inc., a consulting firm in the federal marketplace since 1991. He was principal author of the 1985 government-wide policy directive on the management of federal information resources, OMB Circular No. A-130. Sprehe has written extensively on electronic records management and for 10 years co-sponsored an annual conference on federal electronic records management. He is a member of the AIIM International Standards Board. Sprehe received his doctorate in sociology from Washington University (St. Louis) in 1967 and is a retired federal employee.
