About the Author:

Kimberly Young, Ph.D., is a psychologist and an expert on Internet addiction and online behavior. She serves as the director of the Center for Internet Addiction Recovery, which was founded in 1995. Young has authored more than 40 articles on online behavior, including three books: Caught in the Net, Tangled in the Web, and Breaking Free of the Web. Her work has been featured in numerous media outlets, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Newsweek, Time, and CNN. Young can be contacted at kyoung@sbu.edu.
